What is the best acne skin care system you’ve used?

I’ve tried Proactiv and Clean and Clear. I thought Proactiv worked better in te long run, but took longer than Clean and Clear to see results.

Proactiv is pretty awesome. Neutrogena makes this stuff that comes in a blue bottle, it works pretty well.

The best one I have used is Clean Clear the 3 piece kit. The cleanser really helps remove oil and bacteria. The moisturizer really smoothens my skin and.. moisturizes it and the pimple thing removes the pimple in like a day!

I really like Proactive. Also I really like Neutrogena Acne Stress control face wash. I use the one with the beads in it because it tingles. It’s made with green tea and really really works!

the baest i’ve ever used is a mixture of backing soda and water, it makes a paste that dries them very quickly. it worked well for me. Good Luck!

I tried EVERYTHING there was including regular pill from the dermatologist- the only thing that helped was at first contraception pill and ACUTANE

Proactiv worked really well on my skin and i now use it every day and hardly ever see any blemishes!
besides that i went to the dermatologist and got a heavy duty cream for really stubborn breakouts

I actually use a precrition that my doctor gave me b/c my acne got really bad. I still use clean and clear just as a clenser the precription drymy skin out a little and take scare of the acne in about a week or two f I use it twice a day. I try going to your doctor. They can give you a good precription then. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I think clean and clear is good. But I wouldn’t use too much because spot and acne creams dry out your skin permanently and you will get wrinkles much sooner. Its Ok to use them sometimes during a really bad outbreak but otherwise I would steer clear of them if I was you. Clean and clear works for me, though.

Glytone. Best. Stuff. Ever. I am a walking bilboard for it. I had bad acne, and even went through Accutane. The Accutane treatment kept my skin clear for about three years, and then it broke out again. I tried EVERYTHING. Clinique, Sheseido, Origins, the list goes on, and Glytone was like using a magic wand.
It’s a glycolic product. You can buy it online at, or skinwest.com. I’m sure other sites have it as well. You can also get it from a dermatologist’s office. You don’t need an appointment or even have to be a patient to go in and buy products. I have gotten it from two different offices, and I am not a patient at either. I typed Glytone into yahoo local, and offices that sell it pop right up.
I use the mild gel wash, and rejuvinate lotion twice a day. I started with rejuvinate step 1 at night only for the first week, and then moved to twice a day. My skin was crystal clear within a week. It will transform your skin. I seriously think it’s a celebrity secret. The first week is rough. Your skin has to build a tolerance to glycolic acid, which is why the products come in steps. I didn’t move to step 2 for about a year. It burns when you put it on, but it will go away in ten minutes or so. This means it is working! If over the counter stuff worked, we would all be walking around with perfect skin.
The mild gel wash is $28, and will last six months. A little goes a long way. I also use it on my chest and back in the shower, and it still lasts that long. The rejuvinate lotion is $38 and lasts four to five months using it twice a day. Also, you need a good moisturizer with sunscreen for the day. I use Jan Marini antioxident daily face protectant spf 30. It’s the best stuff that has ever touched my skin. It is expensive, but worth EVERY PENNY. I found it at a spa for $46. It’s a glass bottle with yellow lotion. It will last six months. This last time, I actually found some on ebay for $35. I used it at the beach last August in very intense sun and did not burn.
It’s expensive to get started, but you don’t have to replace anything for a very long time. Google Glytone and read up. It’s amazing. Good luck!!
oh, I also use an eye cream. I’m 28, and however old you are, if there is any advice I can offer, take care of your skin, you will stay looking younger. I am using Glytone eye cream, but La Roche Posay active C eyes is my favorite, I am going back to it when this one runs out. Both are around $30 and will last at least six months. It’s your face, it’s worth it! The first time someone said, you have really pretty skin, I almost cried.
